Welcome to Veterans Place!

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of America's homeless Veterans.

At Veterans Place, we provide housing and supportive services to homeless military Veterans through a partnership with the Veterans Administration.  Our goal is to provide homeless Veterans with an array of facilities and services that build residential stability and self-determination and increase a Veteran's earning potential and success in long-term competitive employment.

Service Center

In addition to housing our administrative offices, our Service Center offers a wide variety of services to homeless Veterans.  The flagship program of our Service Center is our Homeless Veterans Day Program which provides Veterans staying in the homeless and emergency shelters with:
  • Breakfast and Lunch
  • Day Room with television and a pool table
  • Computer Lab
  • Employment Assistance
  • Addiction Recovery Programming
    • AA and NA Meetings
  • We also plan to introduce other services currently in development:
    •
      Housing Assistance
    •  Training
      • Computer Skills
      • Budgeting and Financial Literacy
      • Relationship & Life Skills

The goal of the Day Program is to provide a gateway to other services provided by Veterans Place, the Veterans Administration and other community organizations.  These services can include (but are not limited to):

  • Detox/Rehab
  • Mental Health Services
  • Housing
  • Employment Services

  Transitional Housing

Our Transitional Housing Program provides a safe, clean and affordable place for Veterans to live while they work to recover from the issues that caused their homelessness.  As a single-room-occupancy (SRO) arrangement, we can provide housing for up to 48 Veterans.

Eligible Veterans can stay at Veterans Place for up to 24 months.  While a resident, Veterans pay a sliding-scale rent set at 20% of gross income (less court mandated expenses), with a max rent of $372/month, which includes all utilities, local phone and television.  While a resident, Veterans receive monthly case management and participate in monthly community meetings.

The Service Center also provides service to our Transitional Housing residents, including free wireless internet within the building, a computer lab, use of the dayroom and meeting space.
